Ankle and Foot Problems

With years of experience treating runners, I have encountered and managed hundreds of ankle and foot problems and am well-equipped to assess these conditions and recommend appropriate treatment options. Apart from ankle sprains, conditions such as plantar heel pain (plantar fasciitis) are highly prevalent among runners, and I offer safe and effective treatment approaches, along with valuable advice.

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain, affecting both recreational and professional athletes. It results from inflammation and micro-tears in the plantar fascia, a thick connective tissue band running along the bottom of the foot.(1) I use a multimodal approach, including manual therapies and stretching/strengthening exercises to effectively manage plantar fasciitis and facilitate recovery.(2)

My expertise in musculoskeletal conditions and biomechanics allows for a comprehensive evaluation of foot and ankle injuries, enabling accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans. By addressing biomechanical imbalances, muscle tightness, and joint restrictions, I can help alleviate pain, improve function, and prevent future recurrences of foot and ankle problems in runners and anyone wanting a more active lifestyle.
